Perfect treatment for your nails at home.....

Your fingernails can do a lot of things. They can be kept short or grown very long, painted or done nail art with, and lots more. Unfortunately, dirty fingernails seriously limit your chances of 1. doing any of the above, and 2. looking hot. So if you want to know how to properly clean your fingernails, just read on

Steps

Step 01

Get any hard dirt out from under your nails with one of those sharp nail cleaners that sometimes come with nail clippers, or something similar. Be very careful cleaning your nails with sharp objects-you can sometimes hurt yourself. Be very thorough-get every speck of dirt out from under your nails. Also being in a well lit room helps you see the dirt in your nails much easier.

Step 02

Once the underside part of you fingernails are clean, get the other parts clean. Use a clean toothbrush and soap and water. Scrub your nails hard, and all over-including underneath your nails. Don't worry about getting nail polish off-that comes later. When you're finished, wash your hands to get rid of the soap and dirt, pat your hands dry.

Step 03

Now, using a strengthening nail polish remover and cotton buds/wipes, scrub your nails hard to get rid of every scrap of nail polish left on your nails. Start from the base of the nail and work up, not forgetting to do the sides. Survey your nails afterwards for any more nail polish.

Step 04

Soak your nails in a bowl of warm, soapy water for about three minutes. Not your hands, just your nails. Make sure the water isn't too lukewarm or scalding hot-a good temperature, somewhere in between. Be patient and talk to someone or watch T.V while your nails are in the bowl.

Step 05

Wash your hands again, this time very thoroughly with lots of soap and warm water. Pat them dry, don't rub them, and rub on some rich hand cream that smells good and is really good for your skin. Cut your nails if you keep them short, or file them if you're growing them. Make sure the nails are all completely even. Finish off the look with a neat coat of clear polish. Or if you have some nails that are shorter you can wait until they outgrow themselves and complete these steps then. If you are looking for an extra fancy look, finishing your nails off can be any design such as flowers, or fancy patterns.

Tips

  • Don't bite your nails. Biting your nails weakens them, gets highly addictive, and looks tacky. Paint your nails with clear polish so they taste terrible, keep them short, or get a beautiful manicure so you won't want to bite them.

  • Protect your nails. If you paint them with a proper colour, make sure to sandwich the layers between a coat of clear polish. Re-apply the clear polish every other day, and wear gloves when doing jobs such as cleaning.

Warnings

  • Be careful with cutting and cleaning your nails. Don't cut them right back to the quick so that they're sore and bleed, and don't stab the nail cleaner right into the flesh. Be careful.

  • Nail polish can get a bit sticky at times. Practice painting your nails, and paint them on a rag. If you're terrible at it, get a friend to do them for you.

  • When smoothing, and cutting back cuticles, take care in not jabbing your skin, as it will hurt and look different then the rest.

  • When applying nail polish remover make sure that you don't try to sniff it as it is chemicals and can damage your sense of smell.

How To Wash Your Face Properly?

Washing your face every day is crucial, no matter your age or skin type. When you wash your face you remove any impurities, makeup residue and oil which if not removed may lead to some serious skin problems  clogged pores (blackheads), whiteheads, pimples, spots etc.
Nowadays there is a wide range of facial cleansers – foams, gels, creams designed for every skin type from oily to hypersensitive. The cleansers gently clean the skin without irritating it, they remove all the impurities – dirt, oil, that have accumulated during the day or during the night, leaving the skin clean, tight and soft.

It’s essential to choose a cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type and for your skin’s needs. Those women with combination or oily skin should look for a stronger cleanser containing oil-absorbing ingredients; those with dry or sensitive skin should look for a milder formula with more nourishing and moisturizing ingredients.
It’s crucial to select skincare products that are oil-free (don’t contain oil), non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), hypoallergenic (won’t irritate the skin) and non-acnegenic (won’t cause acne). Today most of the facial cleansers contain many active ingredients – alpha hydroxy acids, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, essential oil, vitamins, minerals, glycerin, collagen, elastin, sodium laureth sulfate.
You should wash your face at least twice a day (in the morning and in the evening) in order to keep your skin clear and flawless.

HOW TO WASH YOUR FACE PROPERLY

Step One. Wash your hands
Wash your hands every time before cleansing your face, applying makeup or touching your face. If your hands are dirty you may rub bacteria or dirt onto your skin. Use an antibacterial soap and gently wash your hands with lukewarm water.
Step Two. Tie your hair
Tie your hair – this way it will be more comfortable for you when you wash your face.

Step Three. Remove your makeup

Remove your makeup with a mild makeup remover. Although facial cleansers remove all kind of makeup effectively you had better remove it prior to washing your face. Choose a mild makeup remover that suits your skin type and first remove the eye makeup.
Step Four. Wet your face
Splash your face with lukewarm water to prepare your skin for the cleanser and to open your pores for a deeper cleansing.

Step Five. Apply the cleanser

Place a small amount (a dime-size) of the cleansing product on your palm or to a washcloth.
Using your fingertips or a brush gently rub the cleanser all over your face. Make sure you cover all areas – chin, forehead, nose, cheeks, neck. Massage your face with gentle circular motions for a minute. Remember: never remove the cleanser immediately after you apply it – let it penetrate your skin for a dew minutes (it usually takes one/ two minutes).
Step Six. Rinse your face
Rinse your face to remove the cleanser. Splash your face with water several times until you feel that the cleanser has rinsed off completely. You can use a face sponge, a muslin cloth or cotton pads to remove the cleansing product.
Step Seven. Splash your face with cold water
Rinse your face with cold water to close the open pores and to improve your blood circulation.
Step Eight. Gently blot your face
Pat your face with a clean towel.
Step Nine. Tone your skin.
If your skin is oily or combination it’s crucial to use a facial toner. The toners remove any traces of makeup, dirt and oil that your cleanser may have missed. They also reduce pores, eliminate oil and refine the skin. What they do in addition to making your skin feel tighter, is prepare the skin for the moisturizer.
Step Ten. Moisturize your skin
Apply a moisturizer or a hydrating face cream every time after washing your face to moisturize your face. Again make sure the moisturizer is appropriate for your skin type.

Useful Beauty Tips for washing your face:

  • Washing your face twice a day is a must in order to keep your skin clear.
  • Never use bar soaps to wash your face as they tend to dry out the skin.
  • Never wash your face with hot or too cold water – you may irritate your skin.
  • Never over-cleanse your skin.
  • Avoid cleansing products containing alcohol or any harsh chemicals.
  • Always remove your makeup before you wash your face.
  • Remember: hot water can strip your skin of its natural oils, leaving it dry and irritated.
  • Always apply the cleansing products to a wet face.
  • Always make sure you have removed all traces of the cleanser, otherwise it can irritate your skin.
  • Never rub your skin.
  • Always make sure the cleansing product is appropriate for your skin type.
  • Wash your face at least twice a day.
  • Always apply moisturizer after washing your face.
  • Don’t forget to exfoliate your skin once or twice a week with a mild exfoliate to remove the dead skin cells.
  • It’s best to wash your face with lukewarm water rather than with hot or cold water.
  • Avoid using strong or harsh cleansers and toners.
  • Cream based cleansers are appropriate for the winter months as they moisturize the skin.
  • If your skin is sensitive choose a fragrance-free cleanser.
  • If your skin is oily look for a water-based cleanser in gel or foam formula.
  • If your skin is dry look for a cream cleanser that moisturizes your skin.

How to remove Pimple Marks....

How to remove pimple marks....

Once pimples clear up, they sometimes leave marks behind on the skin. These marks are actually scars. When you have pimples, do not pick or squeeze them. If you do, they will be more likely to leave marks behind. If you already have pimple marks, there are steps you can take to get rid of them. With diligent treatment, you can effectively improve the appearance of pimple marks, and even wholly remove them.

01.
Apply scar treatment cream to your pimple marks. You can find scar treatment creams in most holistic and drug stores. The creams utilize onion extract to gradually reduce the appearance of scars. Use the cream daily for at least 12 weeks and you should see results.

02.
Use alpha hydroxy acid on your pimple marks. This natural acid helps your body produce new skin cells more quickly, effectively helping your pimple marks to fade more quickly. You can find alpha hydroxy acid cleansers, serums and lotions in most cosmetic and drug stores.

03.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice onto your pimple marks, particularly if they are fresh marks. Lemon juice works as a natural bleaching agent, helping to lighten areas of hyper pigmentation. Since fresh pimple marks generally appear as red or pink, lemon juice can effectively lighten them so they better blend in with surrounding skin.

04.
Consider laser treatment. Your dermatologist likely offers laser treatment. During treatment, laser light targets scar tissue and hyperpigmentation, effectively breaking them up. The light also increases collagen production, helping to plump up any uneven pimple marks you have. In some instances, multiple sessions are needed to remove pimple marks.

05.
Try microdermabrasion. Both dermatologists and skin care professionals generally offer microdermabrasion services. A small, sandblaster-type device is used to buff away the top layers of skin, effectively making pimple marks less noticeable. Generally, a series of sessions is needed to completely remove pimple marks.

Important : Wear sunscreen to prevent further damage to your scarred skin.

What is yor skin type?

 What is your skin type?

Would you like to determine your skin type?

Our skin takes a beating from environmental factors including the very air we breathe, the sun we love to bask in and the water in which most of us shower.
Even the water we drink often fails to hydrate our skin due to chemicals that have leached into our water supply.
This page has some general information on types of skin, to help you begin learning more about your best approach to personal skin care.

Normal Skin

This is the skin we'd all love to have. Soft, plump and with small to medium sized pores. Normal skin has good elasticity and is smooth and firm to the touch.

Oily Skin

Just look at most any teenager going through hormonal changes and you can see oily skin. It's the only time in my life that my own skin was overly oil.
Oily skin looks shiny and also has a sort of hardness to it that goes beyond the nice firmness of normal skin—a sort of thickness. Pores are larger and more visible and, due to the excess oil, there's more of a tendency toward pimples, blackheads, whiteheads etc. with the oily complexion.

Dry Skin

If you see skin flaking off or your skin feels tight on your face, you probably are a dry skin type. However, sometimes this dryness can be brought on by not drinking enough water, certain types of heating in winter, and being in wind for prolonged periods so if you normally don't feel that your skin is dry, then look to environmental factors as the cause.
If you've recently changed soaps, that could be another factor. Soaps, in general, tend to be drying. Those with added moisturizers can cause allergic reaction so if you have changed cleansing products lately and are experiencing difference in skin tone, you may need to change again! There are other skin disorders that can produce the appearance of dry skin type including dermatitis, eczema or psoriasis.

Combination Skin

Combination skin is like having a split-personality. One part may be dry while another is oily. The term "T-zone" refers to combination skin types where the forehead, nose and chin are oily but the cheeks and the area around the eyes is either normal or dry.
This will fit the majority of combination skin types except for a small percentage who may have symptoms such as a pimply forehead or cheeks that are dry where all else is normal. In some cases, the skin could be normal everywhere outside the T Zone and this would still be combination skin type.

Sensitive Skin

A person with sensitive skin has a lot more trouble with environmental factors than the average person. Their skin burns more easily in the sun, they have more sensitivity to cosmetics (particularly if perfumed) and may experience rashes or a burning sensation due to overexposure to wind, sun, and extreme shifts in temperature.
If your skin is easily irritated or fits into the other descriptions, you may be a sensitive skin type.

Learn Who and What Makes a Superior Natural Skin care?
Enzymes essential for metabolic processes start to rapidly diminish after our teens.
Zen Biotic products are enzyme-rich due to our cold extraction process, and in some cases may take over one year to prepare.
Hot extraction processes in temperatures above 119 F kill these enzymes.
Rejuvenating oils found in plants, in their purest and most energetic form, enhance health. When altered with synthetic chemicals, their fragile hydrogen balance is degraded.
Only pure, live botanical ingredients (that are kept live) without chemicals are used—via a technology that provides nutrition to skin topically.
Plant oils and resins contain trace minerals, nutrients, hormones, enzymes, vitamins, antibodies, anti-viral, anti-fungal, antibacterial, anti-infectious, antiseptic and immune stimulating properties.
The Cell Renewal Serum, for example, is packed with more than85 skin-enhancing herbs. The LNDT "digests,"delivers the nutrients & accelerates bio-electrical activity in the cells, as in young, vibrant cells.
This skin therapy provides true moisturizing—since skin is 35% to 90% water, moisture in the form of water is imperative for beautiful skin.
All of these products are made with water-soluble oils due to our technology. Only skin-enhancing enzymes and nutrients are used. Traditional "moisturizers" can cover up the skin with a layer of oil that traps the moisture that is already present if the oils in a moisturizer are not water soluble.
The Phyto-Moisturizer (for the face) is made up of herb-enriched purified water which penetrates deeply into the cells of skin (and stays there) to add real moisture, lending to plumper, healthy textured skin.
This quality skincare system meets all the requirements for a truly superior skin care therapy.

Aloe Vera as a Skin Care Agent

The healing and skin-soothing properties of aloe date back to ancient times.
Cleopatra used it and so did Alexander The Great. Herbalists have always known that a burn could be eased with the juice of fresh aloe and that when aloe is applied to burns, they heal more rapidly. So what's in aloe that makes it so beneficial for our skin? Well, aloe contains 20 minerals and 18 amino acids to start with.
It is a natural source of Vitamin B-12 and contains 11 other vitamins as well. In all, aloe vera contains around 200 nutritional compounds. No wonder malnourished skin seems to literally soak it up! Interested in exploring aloe as a skin care supplement?

How to use a Facial Scrub

How to use a Facial Scrub
Exfoliating, a process that removes dead skin, is especially important for people with oily skin. A good facial scrub may take some experimentation to decide on for your particular pH and skin type. Using a facial scrub once or twice a week can help reduce small lines and make your skin softer.

Instructions

01.

Pin your hair back to expose the hairline or use a headband to keep your hair out of your face.

02.

Squeeze a quarter-sized portion into the palm of your hand and add a few drops of water so that the scrub isn't quite liquid but it moves easier than it does straight out of the bottle. Move the scrub around so that it covers your fingertips.

03.

Begin applying the scrub in a circular motion, starting at the chin and working outward and upward. Be gentle as you move across the upper lip and work around the eyes. Don't apply the scrub to the eyelids. Give a couple of extra circular rubs to the cheeks, forehead and chin. These areas tend to collect dead cells more frequently and easily.

04.

Rinse off the scrub gently. Make sure to keep your eyes closed as you do this. Use spring or filtered water if possible to care for the new skin that is now at the surface. Apply a light moisturizer to finish.

Tips & Warnings

  •  Plan to exfoliate with a facial scrub about twice a week if your skin is oily. For dry skin or wintertime face care, exfoliating once a week or every 10 days is sufficient. Experiment to see what works best for your skin and during different seasons.

  • Facial scrubs come in many varieties, and certain ingredients will work better with your body's chemistry. Try samples or buy smaller packages until you find the one that works for you.
